The sCMEX-3 camera is built around the Scientific CMOS (sCMOS) sensor technology . Compared to previous generations of CMOS and CCD-based sensors, sCMOS is offering simultaneously extremely low noise, rapid frame rates, wide dynamic range, high quantum efficiency (QE), excellent color rendering and high resolutions.
