The storage box contains seven Shore A samples. Each sample is numbered, ensuring unambiguous identification. Their hardness ranges from 30 to 90 Type A durometers. The samples are made of a special material.

These samples serve as a reference for verifying the proper functioning of a durometer. It is imperative never to calibrate a durometer with these samples. A durometer calibrator is available for this purpose. The samples are made of a special material.

Annual verification of the samples using a Type A durometer is recommended.
