the 2016 LED magnifier is a 15x magnification wide angle magnifier associated with a 0.1mm graduated glass scale and additional switchable LED illumination.
the magnifier has been newly developed to enable sharp observation of the entire measuring range of 14 mm diameter at 15x magnification of the object.
the field curvature and lateral chromatic aberration have been perfectly corrected by a combination of four lenses. Two of the lenses are made from a new type of optical glass.
in addition, all six air-glass interfaces are multi-coated to prevent internal reflections (anti-reflective coating).
once again, perfect optics have been used to achieve a very large viewing and measuring range in relation to the magnification.
the standard scale with black graduations shown in the illustration is included with the magnifier. A scale for dark surfaces with white graduations (scale # S-1983-SW) can also be ordered as an option for this magnifier.
