Instructions for use

To obtain perfectly transparent samples:

use the translucent XPOL molds
place the sample in the mold
carefully pour the resin, avoiding air bubbles
remove any air bubbles with a wooden spatula
place the molds in the XFUV unit on the turntable and close the lid
set the time to 30 seconds. Press Start
wait 30-40 seconds and repeat the 30-second cycle
open the lid and remove the molds
wait a few seconds for the sample temperature to drop
remove the samples from the mold (slightly rotate the bottom of the mold, remove the bottom, then invert the cylinder; the sample will release very easily)
remove the sample(s) and place them in a bath of XF80 Cleaning Liquid
remove them from the bath after approximately 10 seconds and allow them to dry without wiping.
